This website presents the interface to the Generic Component Reliability Database (GCRDB).
GCRDB provides the component reliability information exchange and is developed according
to the program which is implemented for the U.S. Government by DOE to improve the level
of safety of Soviet-designed nuclear power plants (NPPs) in Central and Eastern Europe,
Russia and Ukraine.
GCRDB can be utilized for development of valid Probabilistic Risk Assessments (PRA) and
enchancement of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) data determination, which are important and
useful methods for improving the safety of Soviet-designed reactors.
The GCRDB implements the following tasks:
Helps the interconnection between the developers, users and establishments,
issuing the expertise of the PRA data;
Provides the list of systems (VVER, RBMK) also as its' components in different languages;
Provides the list of the terms, used in the PRA;
Includes the description of components failures types;
